The Flood and Water (Amendments) (England and Wales) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 / Rheoliadau Llifogydd a Dŵr (Diwygio) (Cymru a Lloegr) (Ymadael â’r UE) 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in powers in paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 2 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies in retained EU law arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Cross-Border Mediation (EU Directive) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under section 8(2)(a), (c) and (d) of that Act) arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union.

The Environment and Wildlife (Legislative Functions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under section 8(2)(a), (b), (f) and (g)) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under section 8(2)(a) and (g) of that Act) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Drivers’ Hours and Tachographs (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations make provision under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 implementing the EU Drivers’ Hours Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 561/2006) and the EU Tachographs Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 165/2014). Article 2(3) of the EU Drivers’ Hours Regulation applies the European Agreement concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles engaged in International Road Transport of 1st July 1970 (known as the “AETR”) in EU member States, requiring the implementation of the AETR in those States. The provision under section 2(2) includes provision implementing the AETR.

The Client Money Protection Schemes for Property Agents (Requirement to Belong to a Scheme etc.) Regulations 2019

These Regulations require property agents that hold money on behalf of a client to belong to an approved or designated client money protection scheme in order to afford protection to that client against the loss, theft, misappropriation, etc. of their funds and make associated provision.

The South Sudan (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (c.13) to establish a sanctions regime in relation to South Sudan for the purposes of compliance with the United Kingdom’s United Nations obligations and promoting the peace, security and stability of South Sudan and related purposes. Following the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union, these Regulations also replace the European Union sanctions regime in relation to the situation in South Sudan, implemented via an EU Council Decision and Regulation.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (c.13) to establish a sanctions regime in relation to the Democratic Republic of the Congo for the purpose of promoting resolution of the conflict, respect for human rights, compliance with international humanitarian law, and respect for democracy, the rule of law and good governance. Following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union, these Regulations also implement the UN sanctions regime in respect of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and replaces the EU sanctions regime which imposed certain restrictive measures directly against persons acting in violation of the arms embargo with regard to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, implemented via an EU Council Decision and Regulation.
