London council fined by the ICO for disclosing sensitive personal data about alleged gang members

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has fined the London Borough of Newham £145,000 for disclosing the personal information of more than 200 people who featured on a police intelligence database.

Statement on Mark Zuckerberg opinion piece

The ICIC adopts Johannesburg Charter

T he ICIC is the   International Conference of Information Commissioners. The Conference was first held in 2003 when Information Commissioners and Ombudsmen met for the first time in Berlin to adopt a declaration for further cooperation and experience sharing among regulatory authorities charged with overseeing the access to public information.
