The Scotland Act 1998 (Agency Arrangements) (Specification) (No. 2) Order 2018

The Order paves the way for the Scottish Government and the UK Government to enter into agency arrangements, under which the UK Government can exercise certain welfare foods functions on behalf of the Scottish Government. Any such arrangements would require to be agreed between the UK Government and the Scottish Government.

The INSPIRE (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c.16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. They relate to the categories of deficiencies in retained EU law specified in section 8(2)(a), (b), (d) and (g) of that Act.

The Immigration (Restrictions on Employment) (Code of Practice and Miscellaneous Amendments) Order 2018

An employer is excused from paying a penalty under section 15 of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (c. 13) if the employee produces to the employer any of the documents described in the Schedule to the Immigration (Restrictions on Employment) Order 2007 (S.I. 2007/3290) (“the 2007 Order”) and if the employer complies with the requirements prescribed under article 6 of that Order.

The Mental Health (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Order 2018

The Mental Health Review Tribunal (Northern Ireland) Rules 1986 (S.R. 1986 No. 193) were amended by the Mental Health Review Tribunal (Amendment) Rules (Northern Ireland) 2016 (S.R. 2016 No. 57) (the “Amending Rules”) to enable appeals against detention to be brought, where it is in the interests of justice to do so, during the period of up to fourteen days (“the 14-day period”) in which a patient may be compulsorily admitted to a hospital and detained for assessment under Part II of the Mental Health (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/595 (N.I. 4)) (the “1986 Order”).

The Immigration (Biometric Information) (Jersey) Order 2018

This Order extends to Jersey, with modifications, sections 126 to 128 of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (“the 2002 Act”) and amendments of those sections, and of section 144 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (“the 1999 Act”), made by the Immigration Act 2014. The Order also extends to Jersey section 145 of the 1999 Act.
