The Zoonotic Disease Eradication and Control (Amendment) (England) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of domestic legislation to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under paragraphs (a), (d) and (g) of section 8(2)) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 2018

These Regulations provide for the fees to be paid for various functions carried out by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency relating to the survey, inspection and testing of ships and hovercraft and their equipment and to the examination of, and issuing of certificates of competence etc. to, seafarers. Fees are also prescribed in relation to mortgages of ships, seafarers’ documents, certificates of compulsory insurance, waste management, exemptions from statutory requirements and other miscellaneous functions of the Agency.

The Cultural Tests (Films, Television Programmes and Video Games) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Occupational Pension Schemes (Governance) (Amendment) Regulations 2018

These Regulations implement the requirements relating to conditions governing activities under Title III of the European Union Directive on the activities and supervision of institutions for occupational retirement provision (Directive (EU) 2016/2341) (OJ No. L 354, 23.12.2016, p.37) (“the Directive”).

The Occupational Pension Schemes (Cross-border Activities) (Amendment) Regulations 2018

These Regulations implement the requirements relating to cross-border activity and cross-border transfers in Articles 6, 9, 11, 12, 33 and 48 of the European Union Directive on the activities and supervision of institutions for occupational retirement provision (Directive (EU) 2016/2341) (OJ No. L 354, 23.12.2016, p.37) (“the Directive”). The Directive is a recast of the original EU Directive 2003/41/EC on the same subject matter (OJ No. L 235, 23.9.2003, p.10).

The Further Education (Recognition of Professional Qualifications) (Amendment) Regulations 2018

These Regulations correct an error in the European Union (Recognition of Professional Qualifications) Regulations 2015 (S.I. 2015/2059) (“the RPQ Regulations”) by amending Part 1 of Schedule 1 to remove principals of further education institutions in England and teachers at further education institutions in England from the list of professions to which the RPQ Regulations apply. These professions are not regulated professions, for which specific qualifications are required, and therefore do not fall within the scope of the RPQ Regulations.

The Town and Village Greens (Landowner Statements) (Wales) (No. 2) Regulations 2018 / Rheoliadau Meysydd Tref a Phentref (Datganiadau Perchnogion Tir) (Cymru) (Rhif 2) 2018

Land may be registered as a town or village green in the circumstances specified in section 15 of the Commons Act 2006 (“the 2006 Act”). A characteristic of each of those circumstances is that a significant number of the inhabitants of any locality, or of any neighbourhood within a locality, must have indulged ‘as of right’ in lawful sports and pastimes on the land in question for a period of at least 20 years.

The Armed Forces and Reserve Forces (Compensation Scheme) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2018

This Order amends the Armed Forces and Reserve Forces (Compensation Scheme) Order 2011 (S.I. 2011/517) (“the 2011 Order”), which provides for benefits to be payable to, or in respect of, a person by reason of injury, illness or death caused wholly, or partly, by service in the armed or reserve armed forces.

The Airport Charges (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations amend the Airport Charges Regulations 2011 (“the 2011 Regulations”). In part they are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under section 8(2)(a)) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
