The Insurance Companies (Taxation of Re-insurance Business) Regulations 2018
Section 57 of the Finance Act 2012 (c. 14) (“FA 2012”) defines basic life assurance and general annuity business (“BLAGAB”) as life assurance business other than specific categories of business listed in section 57(2). The Regulations provide for the cases in which reinsurance of life assurance business is within BLAGAB.

The Diocese of Lincoln (Educational Endowments) (Saxilby Church of England School) Order 2018
This Order makes new provision as to the use of the remaining endowment of the foundation known as Saxilby Church of England School. It requires the foundation’s trustee, Lincoln Diocesan Trust and Board of Finance Limited, to divide the foundation’s remaining trust assets into a School Fund and a Religious Education Fund.

The Special Restrictions on Adoptions from Abroad (Ethiopia) Order 2018
Section 9(4) of the Children and Adoption Act 2006 provides for the Secretary of State by order to declare that special restrictions are to apply for the time being to the bringing of children into the United Kingdom from a country or territory outside the British Islands in certain cases involving adoption.
