This Order designates a restricted area for the purposes of the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 within 225 metres of the wreck site of the vessel “Rooswijk” lying on the Goodwin Sands, off Deal, Kent.

The Board of the Pension Protection Fund (“the Board”) is established by section 107 of the Pensions Act 2004 (c. 35) (“the 2004 Act”) to provide compensation for members of certain occupational pension schemes in the event of the insolvency of the scheme’s sponsoring employer, where the pension scheme is underfunded below a certain level. The compensation payable to individual members is determined in accordance with Schedule 7 to the 2004 Act and regulations made under it, including the Pension Protection Fund (Compensation) Regulations 2005 (S.I. 2005/670) (“the Compensation Regulations”).

These Regulations amend the Wireless Telegraphy (Register) Regulations 2012 (S.I. 2012/2186, amended by S.I. 2013/640 and S.I. 2015/1400), which require the Office of Communications (“OFCOM”) to establish and maintain a public register of relevant information relating to certain classes of wireless telegraphy licences and grants of recognised spectrum access.

These Regulations bring into operation on 16th April 2018 a code of practice made under section 303G of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (c.29)(“the 2002 Act”) in connection with the exercise of the powers conferred by virtue of section 303C of the 2002 Act. Section 303C is within new chapter 3A of Part 5 of the 2002 Act, which is inserted by section 15 of the Criminal Finances Act 2017 (c. 22).
