The Inheritance Tax Avoidance Schemes (Prescribed Descriptions of Arrangements) Regulations 2017

These Regulations prescribe the descriptions of arrangements that lead to an inheritance tax advantage, so as to be notifiable arrangements for the purposes of Part 7 of the Finance Act 2004 (disclosure of tax avoidance schemes).

The Tax Avoidance Schemes (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2017

These Regulations amend the Tax Avoidance Schemes (Prescribed Descriptions of Arrangements) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 2006/1543) (“the Hallmark Regulations”) and the Tax Avoidance (Information) Regulations 2012 (“the Information Regulations”) so as to extend the scope of these Regulations to include the apprenticeship levy and to make other consequential amendments.

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (Public Health Functions) Order 2017

This Order provides for the conferral of certain public health functions of local authorities on the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (“the GMCA”). This Order has been made following the publication on 18 March 2016 of a scheme for the conferral of functions on the GMCA. These Regulations, which apply in relation to Wales, amend the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (Wales) Regulations 1992 (“the 1992 Regulations”).

The Network Rail (Buxton Sidings Extension) Order 2017

This Order authorises Network Rail Infrastructure Limited to construct, operate and maintain an extension to the existing sidings at Buxton, Derbyshire together with associated works. This will enable longer freight trains to be accommodated on the Buxton to Edgeley Junction Passenger Line to increase freight capacity between the Peak Forest and Hope Valley quarry terminals and London via Dore South Junction and the Midland Mainline.

The Road User Charging and Workplace Parking Levy (Classes of Motor Vehicles) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2017

Part III of the Transport Act 2000 (“the 2000 Act”) provides for road user charging and workplace parking levy schemes, and includes powers for the Secretary of State to make a road user charging scheme in respect of a trunk road which is carried by a bridge, or passes through a tunnel, of at least 600 metres in length.
