These Regulations make minor amendments to the Regulated Advocacy Services (Service Providers and Responsible Individuals) (Wales) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/165 (W. 41)) (“the Advocacy Services Regulations”) in order to correct errors in that instrument.

The Lasting Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Public Guardian (Amendment) Regulations 2019

These Regulations amend the Lasting Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Public Guardian Regulations 2007 (S.I. 2007/1253) (“the 2007 Regulations”) to make provision for the additional functions conferred on the Public Guardian by section 58(2A) of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (c. 9) (the “2005 Act”), as inserted by section 17(2) of the Guardianship (Missing Persons) Act 2017 (c. 27) (“the 2017 Act”).

The Care Quality Commission (Additional Functions) (Amendment) Regulations 2019

The Police Pensions (Employer Contributions) (Amendment) Regulations 2019

These Regulations amend the rate of contribution payable by police pension authorities for pensions payable in respect of police officers in England and Wales. They increase the annual rate of contribution from 21.3% to 31% of the police officer’s pensionable pay from 1st April 2019.

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations 1989 (“the Principal Regulations”), which provide for the making and recovery of charges for relevant services provided under the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 (c. 42) to certain persons not ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom.

The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2019

This Order amends the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (S.I. 1975/1023) (“the 1975 Order”). The 1975 Order disapplies specified provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (c. 53) so as to permit questions to be asked about spent convictions and cautions in order to assess a person’s suitability for admission to certain occupations or to hold certain types of employment, but also to ask questions about spent convictions in certain proceedings.
