The Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 (Consequential Amendments to Secondary Legislation) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/237 (W. 56)) and the Regulated Services (Penalty Notices) (Wales) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/887 (W. 159)) were made using powers in the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 (anaw 2) (“the 2016 Act”).

The Tollesbury and Mersea (Blackwater) Fishery Order 2019

This Order grants the Tollesbury and Mersea Native Oyster Fishery Company Limited (“the Grantee”) a right of several fishery. This is the exclusive right to deposit, propagate, dredge, fish for and take clams, mussels and oysters in the River Blackwater for the period of 20 years beginning with 14th July 2019.

The International Road Passenger Transport (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under sections 8(2)(a), (c) and (g)) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The EU Export Credits Legislation (Revocation) (EU Exit) (No. 2) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 as a consequence of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union. They revoke and replace the EU Export Credits Legislation (Revocation) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (S.I.2019/102) which contained an error in respect of the EU direct legislation which that instrument purportedly revoked.

The Companies (Directors’ Remuneration Policy and Directors’ Remuneration Report) Regulations 2019

These Regulations implement in part Directive (EU) 2017/828 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2017 amending Directive 2007/36/EC as regards the encouragement of long-term shareholder engagement (OJ L 132, 20.5.2017, p. 1) (“the Directive”). The Directive amends Directive 2007/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 July 2007 on the exercise of certain rights of shareholders in listed companies (OJ L 184, 14.7.2007, p. 17) (“the Original Directive”). These Regulations contain the implementation of article 9a (right to vote on a company’s remuneration policy) and article 9b (information to be provided in and right to vote on the remuneration report), which are inserted into the Original Directive. The Original Directive applies to a company whose shares carry voting rights and are admitted to trading on a regulated market within the EEA. In the UK, the definition of “traded company” in section 360C of the Companies Act 2006 (c. 46) (“the Act”) covers this type of company.
