The Road Vehicles and Non-Road Mobile Machinery (Type Approval) (Amendment) (EU Exit) (No. 2) Regulations 2019

These Regulations amend the Road Vehicles and Non-Road Mobile Machinery (Type Approval) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/648) (“the principal Regulations”) to vary the date for commencement of Part 3 of that instrument (which provides for amendments under the European Communities Act 1972 (c. 68) to be made to definitions in the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 (S.I. 1981/154 (N.I. 1)). This is necessary due to the late making of the principal Regulations such that Part 3 would not properly commence before exit day.

The Network and Information Systems (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d) and (g) of section 8(2)) which apply to this instrument arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union.

The Food and Feed Imports (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 7 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c.16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. In particular, the Regulations address the deficiency specified in section 8(2)(b) of that Act, namely the conferral of functions by retained EU law on, or in relation to, EU entities which no longer have functions in that respect under EU law in relation to the United Kingdom.

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 8 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c.16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
