The Organ Donation (Deemed Consent) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2019
These Regulations commence certain provisions of the Organ Donation (Deemed Consent) Act 2019 (c.7) (“the 2019 Act”) on 1st October 2019. These are the first commencement regulations made under the 2019 Act. Section 3 came into force on the passing of the 2019 Act.

Fastest drop in smoking rates in over a decade as Stoptober launches
The latest data from a national smoking study indicates adult smoking rates fell 2.2% from January to July 2019 – equivalent to 200 fewer smokers every hour.
