The Inquiries and Coroners (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular as described in paragraph (g) of section 8(2)) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Customs (Contravention of a Relevant Rule) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made by the Treasury in connection with the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (“UK”) from the European Union (“EU”). They make amendments to the secondary legislation imposing civil penalties on those who contravene Customs rules relating to the import of goods into the UK in order to ensure that there is a functioning penalty regime following exit day in the event that the UK leaves the EU with no deal. The Regulations will come into force on a day to be appointed by the Treasury in Regulations pursuant to the power to make such provision contained in section 52(2) of the Taxation (Cross-border Trade) Act 2018 (c.22).

The Driving Licences (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations relate to driving licences and are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under section 8(2)(g)) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Wharves and Temporary Storage Facilities (Approval Condition and Transitional Provision) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations allow HM Revenue and Customs to require a place to be equipped for full compliance with customs import and export requirements (such as storage and declarations), before it is approved for United Kingdom customs purposes as a wharf or temporary storage facility (transit shed).

The Wharves, Examination Stations and Temporary Storage Facilities (Approval Conditions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations require temporary storage facilities (transit sheds), airport examination stations and approved wharves to provide the amenities necessary for the conduct there of import and export customs formalities and other controls. These are binding conditions of their approval as such if given by HM Revenue and Customs after the United Kingdom exits the European Union.
