The Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (c.13) to establish a sanctions regime under that Act in relation to Russia. These Regulations are made for the purpose of encouraging Russia to cease actions destabilising Ukraine or undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine. Following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union, these Regulations will replace the EU sanctions regimes in relation to Russia. The EU sanctions regimes are currently implemented via EU Council Decisions and Regulations.

The Sanctions (EU Exit) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (c.13) to make corrections to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/411), the Iran (Sanctions) (Nuclear) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/461), the ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida (United Nations Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/466) and the Counter-Terrorism (International Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.

The Nitrate Pollution Prevention (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 / Rheoliadau Atal Llygredd Nitradau (Cymru) (Diwygio) 2019

These Regulations amend the Nitrate Pollution Prevention (Wales) Regulations 2013 (S.I. 2013/2506 (W. 245)) (“the 2013 Regulations”) relating to monitoring of nitrate pollution and designation of nitrate vulnerable zones.

The Education (National Curriculum) (Key Stage 2 Assessment Arrangements) (England) (Amendment) Order 2019

This Order amends the Education (National Curriculum) (Key Stage 2 Assessment Arrangements) (England) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/1038) (“the 2003 Order”). It imposes a duty on head teachers to make assessment arrangements in relation to pupils in year four in respect of a new National Curriculum test (the multiplication tables check). The purpose of that test is to assess proficiency in relation to multiplication tables. The Secretary of State will make delegated supplementary provisions in due course under article 11 of the 2003 Order; those provisions will provide additional detail on how the multiplication tables check is to be administered and will be accessible at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/national-curriculum-assessments-key-stage-2-tests.
