Fire Safety (Leasehold Properties)

A Bill to require freeholders of certain properties that have failed fire safety tests to carry out remedial work; to make provision for sanctions for such freeholders who fail to carry out such work; to ensure that leaseholders are not held liable for the costs of such work; to make provision for a loan scheme to assist freeholders in carrying out such work; and for connected purposes.

The INSPIRE (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c.16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. They relate to the categories of deficiencies in retained EU law specified in section 8(2)(a), (b), (d) and (g) of that Act.

The Mental Health (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Order 2018

The Mental Health Review Tribunal (Northern Ireland) Rules 1986 (S.R. 1986 No. 193) were amended by the Mental Health Review Tribunal (Amendment) Rules (Northern Ireland) 2016 (S.R. 2016 No. 57) (the “Amending Rules”) to enable appeals against detention to be brought, where it is in the interests of justice to do so, during the period of up to fourteen days (“the 14-day period”) in which a patient may be compulsorily admitted to a hospital and detained for assessment under Part II of the Mental Health (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/595 (N.I. 4)) (the “1986 Order”).

The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under paragraphs (d) and (g) of section 8(2)) arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union.
