The School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2018
These Regulations amend the School Information (England) Regulations 2008 (S.I. 2008/3093) (“the 2008 Regulations”) to impose a requirement on maintained schools to publish information relating to their careers programme on a website. Regulation 2 inserts a new paragraph 15 into Schedule 4 to the 2008 Regulations setting out this requirement.

The Higher Education (Basic Amount and Higher Amount) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2018
These Regulations amend the Higher Education (Basic Amount) (England) Regulations 2016 (S.I. 2016/1205) (“the Basic Amount Regulations”) and the Higher Education (Higher Amount) (England) Regulations 2016 (S.I. 2016/1206) (“the Higher Amount Regulations”).

This Order appoints 2 April 2018 as the day on which the revised Code of Practice on the exercise of social services functions in relation to Part 6 (looked after and accommodated children) of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 comes into force.

The Network Rail (Hope Valley Capacity) Order 2018
This Order authorises Network Rail Infrastructure Limited to construct and operate works on the Hope Valley Line between Sheffield and Manchester for the purposes of improving capacity for the operation of railway services between Sheffield and Manchester.

The Finance Act 2009, Sections 101 and 102 and Schedules 55 and 56 (Soft Drinks Industry Levy) (Appointed Day) Order 2018
The Order appoints 6th April 2018 as the day on which the interest regime set out in sections 101 and 102 (including Schedules 53 and 54) of the Finance Act 2009 and the penalties regimes in Schedule 55 and 56 of that Act come into force in relation to soft drinks industry levy which is charged in accordance with Part 2 of the Finance Act 2017. The interest regime also comes into force on that day in relation to penalties assessed in relation to soft drinks industry levy.

The Finance Act 2017, Paragraph 3 of Schedule 11 (Appointed Day) Regulations 2018
The Regulations provide for 6th April 2018 as the appointed day to commence paragraph 3 of Schedule 11 to the Finance Act 2017 (c. 10). That paragraph amends paragraph 1 of Schedule 24 to the Finance Act 2007 (c. 11) to add soft drink industry levy to the list of taxes to which Schedule 24 imposes a penalty for careless or deliberate errors in returns.

The Finance Act 2017, Part 2 (Appointed Day No. 2) Regulations 2018
The Regulations provide for 6th April 2018 as the appointed day for the commencement of provisions of Part 2 of the Finance Act 2017 (c. 10) (FA2017), other than paragraphs 3 and 6 of Schedule 11 to that Act. Part 2 of FA2017 creates soft drinks industry levy (SDIL).
