The Armed Forces Act (Continuation) Order 2019

Section 382 of the Armed Forces Act 2006 (“the 2006 Act”) provides that the 2006 Act will expire at the end of one year beginning with the day on which the Armed Forces Act 2016 (“the 2016 Act”) was passed, unless continued in force by Order in Council in accordance with that section. The 2016 Act was passed on 12th May 2016. The Armed Forces Act (Continuation) Order 2017 (S.I. 2017/569) and the Armed Forces Act (Continuation) Order 2018 (S.I. 2018/519) each provided for the continuation of the 2006 Act for a period of 12 months. This Order provides for the continuation of the 2006 Act for a further period of 12 months. It provides so that the 2006 Act expires at the end of 11th May 2020.

The Storage of Carbon Dioxide (Amendment and Power to Modify) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (f) and (g) of section 8(2) of the 2018 Act) arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union. Part 3 of these Regulations is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 (c. 68) and makes other minor corrections (which come into force before exit day).

The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under paragraphs (a), (d), (f) and (g) of section 8(2) of the 2018 Act) arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union, and under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.

The Employment Rights (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of, and Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained European Union (EU) law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under paragraphs (a), (d), (e) and (g) of section 8(2) of that Act) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the EU. The powers in section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 are relied upon to make amendments to correct existing technical inaccuracies in the current legislation (these amendments are made by paragraphs 5(2)(c) and 8(2)(c) of the Schedule).

The powers in section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 are relied upon to make amendments to correct existing technical inaccuracies in the current legislation (these amendments are made by paragraph 9, 11(c) and 16(c) of Schedule 1).
