The Investigatory Powers Act 2016 (Commencement No. 10 and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2018

These Regulations bring section 242 of the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 (c. 25) into force on 31 December 2018. Section 242 inserts section 67A into the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (c. 23) which provides for a right of appeal on a point of law against decisions and determinations made by the Investigatory Powers Tribunal. The appeal is to the Court of Appeal in England or Wales or the Court of Session in Scotland, whichever the Tribunal considers more appropriate.
