The Local Government (Structural and Boundary Changes) (Amendment) Regulations 2018

Part 1 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 (”the 2007 Act”) provides for structural and boundary changes in relation to local government areas in England. These Regulations made under section 14 of the 2007 Act make incidental, consequential, transitional and supplementary provision of general application in relation to the exercise of certain functions for the purposes of, and in consequence of, orders made by the Secretary of State under section 7 and section 10 of the 2007 Act (“section 7 orders” or “section 10 orders”).

The Bank of England (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (and in particular the deficiencies specified in subsection (2)(e) and (g)). They amend the Bank of England Act 1998, the Financial Services Act 2012, the Cash Ratio Deposits (Eligible Liabilities) Order 1998, the Scottish and Northern Ireland Banknote Regulations 2009, the Bank of England Act 1998 (Macro-prudential Measures) Order 2013, the Bank of England Act 1998 (Macro-prudential Measures) (No 2) Order 2015 and the Bank of England Act 1998 (Macro-prudential Measures) Order 2016.

The European Network of Employment Services (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 8(2)(a) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c.16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Electricity and Gas (Powers to Make Subordinate Legislation) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers in section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16), in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under section 8(2)(a), (b), (d) and (g) of that Act) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Securitisation Regulations 2018

These Regulations are made in relation to Regulation (EU) No 2017/2402 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2017 laying down a general framework for securitisation and creating a specific framework for simple, transparent and standardised securitisation, and amending Directives 2009/65/EC, 2009/138/EC and 2011/61/EU and Regulations (EC) No 1060/2009 and (EU) No 648/2012 (OJ No L 347, 28.12.2017, p.1.) (the “EU Securitisation Regulation 2017”). The EU Securitisation Regulation 2017 harmonises and reforms existing rules on due diligence, risk retention, disclosure and credit-granting which will apply in a uniform way to all securitisations, securitising entities and all types of EU regulated institutional investors and creates a new framework for simple, transparent and standardised (“STS”) long-term securitisations and asset-backed commercial paper programmes.

The Whole of Government Accounts (Designation of Bodies) Order 2018

This Order designates the bodies listed in the Schedule in relation to the financial year ending on 31st March 2018 for the purposes of the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000. The effect of designation is that these bodies are required to prepare and present to the Treasury such financial information in relation to that financial year as the Treasury require to enable them to prepare Whole of Government Accounts.

The Quality Schemes (Agricultural Products and Foodstuffs) Regulations 2018

These Regulations provide for the enforcement of Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on quality schemes for agricultural products and foodstuffs (OJ No L 343, 14.12.2012, p.1) and three supplementary Commission Regulations, as read with a provision of Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and welfare rules (OJ No L 165, 30.4.2004, p.1).
